TYZU Wonder Jungle is a cartoon world where wonderful, magical miracles and beautiful fairy tales take place. The project started out as a cartoon for children to help them learn to deal with real world issues that arise on a daily basis, we all know how tough it can be as a young adult. After launchingEpisode 1 three years ago in 2010 on YouTube, TYZU has received over 1.4 million views and we still rank at top places under the search query “Kid Cartoons” during the past three years.
About Episode 2
TYZU Wonder Jungle: Episode 2 is a touching story about a naughty little raccoon who becomes a good boy, when his mom is hurt by some very bad hunters. In order to save his mom’s life, this young raccoon boy must take on a huge venture and struggle through some fearsome fights! He must climb over 99 mountains, swim across 99 rivers and fight 99 monsters, so he can find a magical herb from the crest of a holy glacier far far away. His sole hope is to cure his mom’s wound and save her life, but he must hurry since the clock of fate is ticking…
We’ve learned a lot about our audience. Not only are young adults watching the show but we have a solid following of individuals in the 20~35 year old demographic as well. If you’re reading this and you fit in that age range ask yourself, “Have you ever watched an animated cartoon in the last three years?” “Did you enjoy it?” Of course you did. The days of watching those old cartoons chase each other are long gone. No one could relate to that stuff. Perhaps it was funny and there was some hidden adult humor in it, but we have evolved and now we want something we can relate to.
This is where TYZU comes in. Our episodes are about love and friendship, happiness and sadness, good Vs. evil, conflict and cooperation all the things we deal with in the real world on a daily basis, but with a twist of humor and a cast of characters that every personality type can relate to and the characters are sure to delight every audience member regardless of age.
So what do you get when a money loving bossy bear with a sense of humor meets up with a cool raccoon who has a slight naughty boy attitude, a goldfish who loves to clean and is determined to protect the environment at all cost and a vegetarian bunny-parrot that helps protect the little guys and girls of the world? Plus a twist of American Humor meets Anime… Well, TYZU of course!!!
TYZU crowd funding goals & rewards
Our goal for this project on Indigogo is to launch a short film with cartoon animation called “TYZU Wonder Jungle: Episode 2”. Our goals are as follows.
FIRST GOAL – $30,000: We will create a five minutes lite edition of new full color animation short film “TYZU Wonder Jungle Episode 2.”
SECOND GOAL – $45,000: We will create a seven minutes enhanced edition of new full color animation short film “TYZU Wonder Jungle Episode 2.”
THIRD GOAL – $60,000: We will create a ten minutes extended edition of new full color animation short film: “TYZU Wonder Jungle Episode 2.”
FOURTH GOAL – $100,000: We will create a twenty minutes full edition of new full color animation short film: “TYZU Wonder Jungle Episode 2.” We will challenge the Oscars! Yes! If we can raise $100,000, we will try our best for the Academy Award for Animated Short Film of 2013!
Where will the funds go?
Animation is a very time consuming work. Many scenes in our cartoons will be hand drawn frame by frame. That’s 12~30 drawings per second, for each character and each special effect. But the animation is only one of many functions we will be performing. In a typical traditionally animated film, each of the positions below has its own set of artists:
While we do plan to perform as many of these tasks ourselves as possible, in order to keep our deadlines we will have to outsource some of this work. Normally, animators can only produce around 10 seconds of animation per week. No wonder feature quality traditional animation typically cost between $80,000 and $800,000 (for 3D version) per minute to produce within those famous studios. This alone will take a large portion of our funds. Indiegogo and its partner, Paypal, keep close to 10% of the proceeds. Then, another 40% of the budget will be applied towards the rewards and shipping cost. So we will be left with around $3K per minute to produce this film, with our talent and the ability to outsource at a fraction of what studio cost would be. We are confident the end result will be nothing less than superb.

TYZU cartoon characters help us look past what has been lost and show us what we must do in order to keep the beauty that is left in nature and what we must do to restore and bring back the beautiful Wonder Jungle.

The characters in TYZU Wonder Jungle have a timeless appeal. Women and men of all ages, along with children and young adults find these drawings funny and captivating.
